We believe that through collaborations with key community partners, we will successfully achieve our goals.  As an organization or individual that is committed to diversity and inclusion, we hold a common purpose of helping immigrant professionals succeed in their educational and professional endeavors. This is a unique opportunity for you to participate in what will be an annual community event.  Your sponsorship and participation in this event will help foster the development of African professionals in our current workforce.
Sponsorship is one of the best ways to brand your organization as a diversity supporter and to highlight your commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace. As a sponsor, you will be able to:

  • Connect with a diverse group of professionals. 1 in every five immigrant in Minnesota emigrated from a country in Africa. In comparison to other groups, African immigrants are more likely to have a Bachelor's degree and prior work experience from their home country. However, African immigrants skills and education are often devalued. By under-utilizing this population, employers are missing out on a diverse group of applicants that would contribute significantly to their organizations. By sponsoring this event, your company will have access to a diverse group of professionals that are educated, have strong work ethics, loyal, and are ready to make a difference.
  • Demonstrate your organization's commitment to diversity , inclusion, and community building. For some African immigrants, the challenge is simply getting an interview or entry level position. By supporting this conference, your organization will demonstrate its commitment to developing a historically disadvantaged population.
  • Demonstrate your leadership.  Your organization  will demonstrate it's role as a leader in the field of diversity and inclusion. We hope you’ll join us as a sponsor. Together, we’ll make this the best professional development conference for African immigrants yet!
  • Become a part of something great.  In January, we are piloting our mentorship program with 20 African immigrants who are underemployed.  The goal of this program is to provide participants with resources and strong network that will assist participants in finding positions that are comparable with their skill sets.  Your sponsorship will enable us to successfully run this program, that has a strong potential of creating better social economic opportunities for participants.
