Ama Eli Boumi is currently the LifeSkills project manager at the Behavioral Health division of the Minnesota Department of Human Services. She served the Minnesota State Government in a variety of positions, most recently as the operations manager of the Economic Assistance and Employment Supports Division of the Children and Families Services Administration.Besides overseeing the administrative staff and functions of the division, she led a team of business analysts charged to support the implementation of complex operational and financial policies of various state programs. Prior to that appointment, she was a senior program administrator with RPO where she managed the refugee school impact grants, the targeted assistance program with counties and oversaw the employment and social service delivery of consortia agencies under contract with RPO. Ama is the co-founder of Empowerment Consulting Services (ECS), a consulting company aiming to improve immigrants’ quality of life in Minnesota. ECS provides expert advice and program design in the areas of health, community partnerships, advocacy, public policy, organizational development, early childhood and K-12 education. She holds a Masters’ degree in International Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the Universities of Reims Champagne- Ardenne (France) and Lomé (Togo). She is a 2010 graduate of the Minnesota Management and Budget’s (MMB) Emerging Leaders’ Institute and is also the recipient of a degree of advanced studies in leadership and organizational development from the University of Sainte Catherine.
Dr. Angela Osuji is a Science Educator with the Minneapolis Public Schools. She has expertise in Global Education and Teacher Development. She is , among other things, an alumnus of Teacher for Global Classrooms - a Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Program (Fulbright TGC) sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. She is also a Fellow of the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. She is currently the President-Elect of the Minnesota Science Teachers Association.
Dr. Osuji is an active member of the Nigerian community, a member of the Minnesota African Coalition, a Social Justice Advocate for Education Minnesota and a Public Speaker on education, public policy, social justice, and equity and community development.

Funmi Sodunke is a second-year doctoral student in the Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program in counseling psychology at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Along with that, Funmi is pursuing her master’s degree in counseling and psychological services at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Funmi graduated with honors with a bachelor of science degree in biomedical science from Saint Cloud State University. She is a practicum student at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center. Funmi’s clinical experience includes providing mental health services to school age children, adolescents, traditional and non-traditional college students, and adults. Funmi has provided therapeutic services to clients with different mental health diagnoses. Through her experiences, Funmi has come to discover that her biggest passion is inspiring people to fulfill their potentials. Funmi believes that everyone, no matter the obstacle they face, can become a person of substance in life. Funmi’s professional goal is to provide culturally sensitive therapeutic services to clients with various mental healthcare needs. Funmi is a native of Nigeria and moved to the United States at age 12. Funmi enjoys serving in the teenage department as a Sunday school teacher in her local church.
Meron Demissie has over 10 years of experience in engineering and construction. Meron is currently an Engineering Manager at Sunrise Energy Ventures. Prior to Sunrise, Meron worked at Ulteig Engineering & Consulting firm. She worked on designing substation at various voltage levels for utility clients and construction firms. Prior to Ulteig, Meron worked at M.A. Mortenson in the renewable energy group working on construction sites for wind farms throughout the United States. Meron is a registered Professional Engineer in Minnesota. Meron has an MBA from Carlson school of Management, and a B.S.C in Electrical Engineering from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and a B.A in Applied Science from Concordia College.
